US President Donald Trump has added another product to his expansive branding portfolio with the launch of a luxury fragrance line titled Victory 45-47, sparking mixed reactions across the political spectrum.

Announced late Monday on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, the perfumes and colognes are being marketed as symbols of “victory, strength and success” for both men and women. The name Victory 45-47 refers to Trump’s tenure as the 45th US President and his ongoing campaign to return to the White House as the 47th.

“Trump Fragrances are here. They’re called 'Victory 45-47' because they're all about Winning, Strength, and Success—for men and women,” Trump wrote. “Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!”

Luxury perfume, golden bottles — and a hefty price tag
The fragrances are retailing at $249 per bottle through GetTrumpFragrances.com, each packaged in a container shaped like a golden or rose-gold statue resembling Trump. The items are described as “luxury, limited-edition collectibles” and come in two series: Fight Fight Fight and Victory 47, each available in both men’s cologne and women’s perfume variants.

The Victory 47 cologne for men reportedly blends “rich, masculine notes with a refined, lasting finish,” while the women’s edition captures “confidence, beauty, and unstoppable determination.” Both arrive in highly stylized bottles meant to symbolise leadership and elegance.

Fragrance notes: bold, spicy and floral
According to the official descriptions and reviews on fragrance forums like Fragrantica, the Fight Fight Fight cologne features robust cardamom, fougère accord, geranium and a woody, spicy character, aimed at “patriots who never back down.” The matching perfume for women combines delicate florals and citrus, intended to evoke strength with grace.

Not directly sold by Trump, disclaimer reveals
Despite the heavy branding, a disclaimer on the perfume’s website clarifies that the fragrances are not manufactured or directly sold by Donald J. Trump but are offered under a licensed brand deal.

This note has raised questions about transparency in Trump’s business operations, with some critics pointing out that the distinction is not prominently displayed on promotional material.

Lawmakers slam launch amid healthcare turmoil
The perfume’s release has drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers, who say Trump’s focus on merchandising is ill-timed as critical policy debates unfold in Congress.

“Unbelievable. While his party does all-night votes to rip away health insurance from millions, Trump hawks his perfume. Bet it smells like this whole bill—garbage,” wrote Senator Mark Warner of Virginia on X (formerly Twitter).

Trump warns Iran Israel against violation
“Millions of Americans are about to lose their health care thanks to Trump and his Republican puppets. And what's our President focused on? Selling his crappy perfume,” added Representative Brendan Boyle of Pennsylvania.

Supporters call it a symbol of “patriotism”
Despite the criticism, many supporters have praised the fragrance line as a bold marketing move and a sign of Trump’s enduring influence. Online reviews highlight the collectible nature of the bottles and describe the scents as “bold,” “patriotic,” and “surprisingly refined.”

Another addition to Trump’s long merchandising trail
The perfume line is just the latest in a long series of branded products linked to the former president, who has previously marketed everything from Trump Steaks and bottled water to a line of digital trading cards.

While the commercial value of Victory 45-47 remains to be seen, the launch underscores Trump’s ongoing strategy of intertwining politics with product marketing—a strategy that continues to polarise public opinion.
