Gold at the highest price in the country’s history, breaking all records.

It has been decided to increase the price of gold in the country's market again. This time, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of a 22-carat gold by 4,199 taka per baht to 2,38,879 taka. This is the highest price of this precious metal in the country's history. The new price will be effective from tomorrow, Tuesday.

BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Monday (January 19) night. It said that the price of acid gold (pure gold) in the local market has increased. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation.

According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per baht (11.664 grams) in the country's market is 2,38,879 taka. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold per baht has been determined at 2,28,031 taka, 18-carat gold per baht at 1,95,430 taka and the price of traditional gold per baht at 1,60,147 taka.

Earlier, on January 14 of this year, the price of gold in the country's market was last adjusted by BAJUS. On that day, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori was increased by Tk 2,625 to Tk 2,34,680. This is the highest price of this precious metal in the country's history.

In addition, the price of 21-carat gold bhori was set at Tk 2,24,07, 18-carat gold bhori at Tk 1,91,989, and 157,231 per bhori in the traditional system. This came into effect from January 13.
