The price reduction was announced in a notification by BAJUS on Thursday (January 1) night. The new price will be effective from Friday (January 2).
Earlier, BAJUS had adjusted the price of gold in the country's market last Wednesday (December 31). On that day, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori was reduced by 2,741 taka and set at 224,182 taka.
According to the new price, the current price of a 22-carat gold bhori (11.664 grams) in the country will be 222,724 taka. In addition, the price of gold per 21-carat bori will be 2 lakh 12 thousand 635 taka, per 18-carat bori 1 lakh 82 thousand 250 taka and per 1 lakh 51 thousand 807 taka in the traditional method.
Earlier, in the recently concluded year 2025, Bajus adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market a total of 93 times. Out of these, the price has been increased 64 times. And the price has decreased only 29 times. Finally, on the first day of the new year, the price of gold in the domestic market was adjusted again.
