Gold market skyrockets, selling at new prices from today

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold in the country's market for 8 consecutive times. According to the latest decision, gold will be sold at the new price from Monday (December 29).
On Sunday, BAJUS last increased the price of gold by 1,575 taka per bhori. This has increased the price of gold per bhori in the country's market for 8 consecutive times by a total of 18,336 taka.

After the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori stands at 2,29,431 taka, which is the highest price of a bhori in the country's history. Earlier, on Saturday (December 27), the price of 22-carat gold was increased by 1,574 taka per bhori to 2,27,856 taka, which was the highest till then.

After the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold (11.664 grams) in the country will currently be 2,29,431 taka per bhori. In addition, the price of gold per 21-carat bori will be 218,992 taka, per 18-carat bori 187,732 taka and per 156,531 taka in the traditional method.

In total, this year, Bajus has adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market a total of 91 times. Out of these, the price has been increased 64 times. And the price has decreased only 27 times. Whereas last year, the price of gold was adjusted a total of 62 times in the domestic market. Out of these, the price was increased 35 times. In addition, the price of gold was reduced a total of 27 times in 2024.
