Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is coming to Dhaka to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bangladesh. He will be accompanied by the country's Foreign Secretary Vikram Mishri.
On Sunday (February 15), the Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced in a press release that the Lok Sabha Speaker will be present at the swearing-in ceremony.

It is learned that on Saturday, the Chief Advisor to the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, accepted the invitation sent by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, Indian High Commission sources said that the AI Summit is being held in India at the same time. Around 20 heads of state, including French President Macron, will be present in it.

Therefore, instead of Prime Minister Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Foreign Secretary Vikram Mishri will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bangladesh.
