Law enforcement agencies have already arrested 3 people in connection with the shooting of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency Sharif Osman Hadi. The notification further said that although the location of the suspects has been identified several times within the country, it has not been possible to arrest them yet due to their repeated changes of location. The police have already collected the travel history of the main suspect. It shows that he has traveled to several countries in the past few years as an IT businessman. Information about his latest trip to Singapore was found on July 21. In addition, several other suspects who may be involved in this attack have already been brought under surveillance.

Meanwhile, the main accused who attacked Osman Hadi is in the country, said Additional Police Commissioner of the Crime and Operations Department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He said this at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

The official said that so far three people have been arrested in connection with the attack. One of them is the owner of the motorcycle used during the attack. The other two cross the border illegally. They are being questioned about whether they have any such information. If any new information is received, it will be reported later.
