The Israeli army recently attacked Hamas leaders in Doha, Qatar. This has drawn a storm of condemnation worldwide. Even Israel's great ally, US President Donald Trump, has criticized the attack. This time, he has advised Tel Aviv to be more careful on the Qatar issue. According to the Times of Israel.
In response to a question from reporters at Morristown Airport in New Jersey on Sunday (September 14), local time, the US president said that Israel needs to be 'very careful' around Qatar.
A reporter asked Trump if he had a message for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about Israel's attack on Hamas leaders in Doha, Qatar last week. In response, he said, 'My message is, they need to be very, very careful. Something needs to be done about Hamas, but Qatar is a great ally of the United States. ‘
On Friday (September 12), Trump had dinner with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani in New York. At that time, he called the Qatari Prime Minister a “wonderful person.”
Meanwhile, the Arab and Muslim worlds have stood by Qatar in responding to Israel’s missile attack on Doha that violated its airspace. As part of the broader support for Qatar, a summit of Arab and Muslim world leaders began in Doha on Sunday.
At the conference, Arab states condemned the “barbaric” Israeli attack and supported legal action to protect Qatar’s sovereignty. The Qatari Prime Minister said that strong and firm action must be taken against this attack.
He also said that the Israeli government has been rejecting one proposal after another, deliberately widening the scope of the war that the people of the region, including their own people, are facing and putting it at a serious risk.
