Iran is interested in reaching a deal with the United States, but it doesn't know how to do it, US President Donald Trump said during a campaign rally in Youngstown, Ohio.
Trump said, "They (Iran) want to make a deal, but they don't know how to do it. They don't know how to do it."The US president also reiterated that Iran will not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, calling Iran a "major state sponsor of terrorism."
Trump claimed that Iran currently has no navy or air force. He also commented that the country's air defense system is weak. In addition, the US president claimed that Iran is experiencing high inflation and a financial crisis.
At that time, Trump also predicted a drop in fuel prices in the global market. In his words, "Oil prices will drop like a rock." That is, he expressed hope that oil prices could drop significantly in the future.
Trump made these comments as part of his election campaign ahead of the US Congressional midterm elections on November 3.
