China gets sensitive parts of F-35 fighter jet instead of the US!

A shipment of sensitive parts for the stealth F-35 fighter jet from Australia ended up in China instead of the United States, prompting the US Department of Defense to investigate.

 Politico reported this information on Friday (September 18).

The fighter jet in the shipment has a canopy, or transparent roof, which is an important part of its stealth system.

The shipment was being brought from Australia to the United States through an intermediary company, but instead of reaching the United States, it ended up in Hong Kong, an autonomous region of China.

Although the Americans have said it is not clear where or who currently has them, they fear that China has obtained them.

Following this incident, a joint investigation by the Department of Defense and Congress began last June, which is still ongoing.

US authorities said they are working to recover the missing parts, investigate the incident and ensure it doesn't happen again.

The canopy or transparent roof that the F-35 fighter jet has is not just an ordinary roof. It is a dome-like covering placed over the cockpit. It is covered with a transparent material that evades radar. One of the reasons why the F-35 is not detected by radar is its canopy.

However, the transparent material used to evade radar can deteriorate over time, requiring replacement.

The United States has so far produced 1,300 F-15 fighter jets for itself and its allies.
