For world football superstar Lionel Messi, the rules change not only in the stadium but also on the Hollywood shooting set. He is so strict about punctuality that he leaves the set even if the work is incomplete when the specified time is over. Before leaving, he utters one word - 'Vamos'.
Hollywood actor Will Ferrell recently shared such an experience on the popular US sports talk show 'The Dan Patrick Show'.
Ferrell said that actor Steve Carell worked with Messi in the shooting of an international advertisement for the brand Alchips laces. Later, Carell told him the story of that experience.
According to Will Ferrell, special preparations have to be made on the shooting set for Messi. Because he gives only 30 minutes for the entire shooting. He has to finish all his scenes within this short time. When the time is up, he does not wait for an extra shot.
For this reason, the director, camera team and the entire production unit have to prepare everything in advance. Usually, in the shooting of commercials or movies, scenes are shot multiple times due to lighting, camera or acting. But in the case of Messi, that opportunity is almost non-existent. Everything has to be ready before he reaches the set, so that the camera can be turned on and the shooting can begin.
Will Ferrell also made an interesting comment on the matter. He said that everyone has to finish the work quickly, otherwise Messi will just stand up and say, 'Vamos', and then leave the set.
Currently, after joining the Major League Soccer club Inter Miami, Messi's popularity in the commercial arena has increased in addition to his success on the field. Various leading brands in the world are interested in making advertisements with him. However, those concerned have to work with his strict schedule.
On the other hand, discussions are underway about Messi's future in international football as well as his club career. After the 2026 World Cup, Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes said in an interview that he thinks Messi may have already played his last match for the national team. Although he expressed hope that Messi will play in the Argentina jersey for a few more days. However, the final decision on this matter will be made by Messi himself.
