US President Donald Trump said the ongoing US and Israeli attacks on Iran are going to end 'very soon'.

Speaking to reporters in Doral, Florida on Monday, he claimed that the war is moving towards its goal faster than planned.

Trump spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone before making his remarks. Trump said Putin was willing to 'help' resolve the conflict in the Middle East.

Donald Trump claimed that US and Israeli forces have successfully hit 5,000 targets across Iran since the war began on February 28.

Noting that the US and Israel are continuously attacking Iran's drone and missile stockpiles, Trump said, 'As of today, we know about every drone manufacturing site and they are being destroyed one by one. The country's missile capabilities have dropped to 10 percent or less.'

The Russian presidential office said that Putin and Trump had 'open and constructive' talks. The AFP news agency reported that they had talked for about an hour on Tuesday, the first time since December last year. In addition to the Iran war, they also discussed the war in Ukraine.

Putin's diplomatic adviser Yuri Ushakov said that Russia had given Trump a message to resolve the problem diplomatically.

Ushakov said that Putin urged Trump to reach a quick political and diplomatic solution to the Iran war. He also spoke about the instability in the global oil market and the situation in Venezuela.

Ushakov claimed that Washington wanted President Putin to discuss several important international situations. Putin made several proposals to stop the conflict in Iran during the talks. However, he did not disclose what he proposed.
