The India-Pakistan match is all about excitement. The excitement builds with each passing match. The cricket battle between these two neighboring teams is like a war. The storm of the field game also blows in the cup of tea.
And if that match is as important as the Super Four of the Asia Cup; then there is no question! Batting first in such an important match, Pakistan lost the toss and scored 171 runs for 5 wickets.
Pakistan was playing well after losing the toss at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday and putting in to bat. The two openers, Fakhar Zaman and Shahbazada Farhan, were batting cautiously.
The ball bowled by Hardik Pandya hit the edge of Fakhar Zaman's bat and dropped to the ground before it was deposited in the wicketkeeper's gloves. It was clearly visible to the naked eye. Even then, the field umpire gave Fakhar Zaman out on the green signal of the third umpire.
Pakistan's total was 171 for 5 on a day of controversial umpiring and India's practice of missed catches. Opener Shahibzada Farhan scored the highest 58 runs for the team in 45 balls with the help of 5 fours and two sixes.
Faheem Ashraf played an unbeaten innings of 20 runs in 8 balls with two sixes and one four. Captain Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on 21 runs with a six in 13 balls. Mohammad Nawaz scored 21 runs in 19 balls. Saim Ayub scored 21 runs in 17 balls.
For India, Shivam Dubey took 2 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav took 1 wicket each.
India missed 4 easy catches on the day.
