Lahore Qalandars signed Mustafizur Rahman for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The franchise spent 64.4 million Pakistani rupees for this. In Bangladeshi currency, this is more than 28.1 million taka. The Bangladeshi pacer had played for Lahore in the previous two seasons of PSL. Lahore confirmed the inclusion of Mustafiz in the team.
On getting a chance in PSL, Mustafiz said, "I am honored, Lahore has chosen me. I am happy to play PSL for them. My relationship with the team is not new, I know the atmosphere there, the passion of the fans and the brotherhood. Lahore has always felt like my family. I am ready to wear this jersey again and give my all for the team."
Lahore have won the PSL title 3 times, and they are also the current champions. Praising the team, Mustafiz said, "The brand of cricket that Lahore has been playing for the last 5 years is amazing. A team built on a great culture, passionate fans and a dressing room that brings out the best in the players. To go back to the dressing room where you have been before is really special." He added, "I am looking forward to playing under the leadership of Shaheen Shah Afridi, to keep the title intact and contribute to the team's goals, to give my best on and off the field. Being a part of Lahore Qalandars is more than just cricket. It is a place, a culture, a fanbase - it is always inspiring to represent."
