Rani Mukherjee loses her mother

Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee has lost her mother. Her mother Krishna Mukherjee passed away on Tuesday afternoon. She was 75 years old at the time of her death.

Production company Yash Raj Films announced the death of Krishna Mukherjee in a statement. It has been requested that everyone respect the privacy of the Mukherjee family in this time of grief.

The statement said, "The family is grateful for your love, prayers and support during this difficult time." Rani Mukherjee's mother Krishna Mukherjee passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Krishna Mukherjee was a classically trained artist. She also sang in a few films. Her husband Ram Mukherjee was a film director. She died in 2017.

Krishna was a regular at various events of the Mukherjee family in Mumbai. She was also seen prominently at the family's traditional Durga Puja every year. The close relationship between Rani and her mother has also been mentioned in various interviews with the actress.

Rani's first opportunity to act in the Hindi film 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat' came through her father's friend and producer Salim Akhtar. However, Rani said that her mother's advice played an important role in her decision to act in that film.

In the words of the actress, 'My mother thought that if I did good work, it would be good for everyone in our family.'

Rani also drew inspiration from her mother for her role in the film 'Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway'. She won praise from the audience and critics for her portrayal of a mother in the film. The film was about how far a mother can go to get her children back.

Remembering her mother, Rani once said, 'A quintessential Bengali person. She fed us with her own hands, put a hat on our foreheads. I got strength and inspiration from my mother.'

Rani was last seen in the film 'Mardaani 3' this year. Apart from this, her new film 'King' is scheduled to be released in December. The film stars several Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan.
