Will the next Bond be a complete stranger?

James Bond means mystery, thrill and a ruthless spy. But who is coming to play the legendary 007 on screen this time? The question has been on the minds of movie lovers since Daniel Craig's departure. Although the names of one star after another have come up as a possible Bond, the speculation has gained a new dimension with the comments of former Bond star Pierce Brosnan. His hint that the next Bond could be someone whom none of the audience knows yet!

Auditions have already begun for the new James Bond film, directed by Denis Villeneuve. The process of selecting potential actors has been going on all summer. In this regard, Pierce Brosnan told The Times that there are many great actors being considered for the role. But if the producers want to go beyond the conventional ideas and choose an actor who is completely unknown.

"There are a lot of good actors in the competition. But they could also choose someone none of us know," Brosnan said.

However, the former 007 is reluctant to reveal the name of the potential bond. Instead, he jokingly said that his wife has forbidden him to reveal any name. Because if he says something, it spreads quickly!

Although Brosnan himself did not name any names, there has been renewed talk of his "The Thursday Murder Club" co-star Tom Ellis. Ellis said Brosnan told him he could be a good James Bond.

Ellis told Metro UK, "He told me he thought I would be a good Bond." However, referring to his own age, Ellis joked that he felt he was a bit too old now.

Pierce Brosnan began his journey as Bond in 1995 with 'GoldenEye'. He was then seen in the films 'Tomorrow Never Dies', 'The World Is Not Enough' and 'Die Another Day'. Later, Daniel Craig took over the role of Bond with 2006's 'Casino Royale'. His chapter ended with 2021's 'No Time to Die'.

Who is the new 007 - so now there is no way but to wait to get the answer. However, Pierce Brosnan's words make one thing clear - the face of the next Bond may be someone that today's audience does not yet know.
