United Nations General Assembly session

The 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly begins today, Tuesday, in New York, USA.

The session will begin on Tuesday and continue until September 28th.

Heads of state and government from about 130 countries are participating in this week-long event, delivering speeches on behalf of their respective countries.Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman is serving as the President of the 81st session of the General Assembly.

US President Donald Trump will deliver a speech on the first day. French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are also scheduled to deliver speeches on the day.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has already arrived in New York to attend this session.

According to the tour schedule, Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will address the General Assembly on September 24.

This will be his first address to the United Nations as the head of government of Bangladesh, and as is customary, he will speak in Bengali.

Along with the UN session, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will hold bilateral meetings and high-level courtesy calls with heads of government of several countries and heads of international organizations.
