Hero Alam could not submit nomination papers

Content creator Ashraful Alam alias Hero Alam, who bought the nomination papers to contest from Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency, could not submit them. He went to submit his nomination papers at 5:30 pm on Monday (December 29). When he went to submit his nomination papers half an hour after the scheduled time, the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman did not accept them.

Earlier today, at around 12 noon, Hero Alam collected nomination papers from the Deputy Commissioner's office to contest from the Aam Janata Party. Hero Alam said, "It took more than 30 minutes to fill out my form. When I came at 5:30 pm to submit my nomination papers, they were not accepted."

District Administrator and Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman said, "I had already told him (Hero Alam) to submit them by 5 pm. But since he could not come within the stipulated time, the nomination papers were not submitted as per the rules.
