Is Govinda really in the new installment of the movie ’Avatar’?

There is a discussion going on between Govinda, known as Bollywood's 'Hero Number One', and Hollywood's legendary director James Cameron. Because, a few years ago, Govinda himself said in an interview that James Cameron once offered him to act in the movie 'Avatar'. However, he turned down the offer due to the fear of shooting for a long time and being in the hospital with body paint.
In 2025, suddenly that old story is discussed again. Some pictures were spread on the social media X (formerly Twitter), where it was claimed that Govinda had appeared in a cameo role in 'Avatar 3: Fire and Ash'. Many were shocked to see the pictures, some even believed them.
However, the reality is completely different.
There is no reliable evidence for this claim. The pictures were carefully checked and found to be made with Photoshop or AI. There has been no official announcement from the production company of 'Avatar 3', James Cameron's team or Govinda about any such cameo.
Even after knowing that the pictures were photoshopped, the discussion among netizens did not stop. The audience is mainly making fun of Govinda. One wrote, "It's hard to believe how James Cameron convinced Govinda!" Another sarcastically said, "Finally, Govinda said yes to James Cameron's proposal!" Someone again wrote with the spoiler tag, "Spoiler alert: Govinda's biggest comeback is in 'Avatar Fire and Ash'!"
Incidentally, Govinda opened up about the matter again earlier this year. He said that he met James Cameron in the United States. Cameron allegedly offered a fee of around Rs 18 crore for a 410-day shoot. However, he was scared by the condition that he would have to work with his entire body painted. According to Govinda, I thought that if I worked with my body painted for so long, I would end up in the hospital. All in all, the news of Govinda's presence in 'Avatar 3' is just a rumor and an online joke.
On the other hand, before the release of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', three films in James Cameron's 'Avatar' franchise have won the hearts of audiences around the world. The first 'Avatar', released in 2009, changed the history of cinema with its story of the planet Pandora and cutting-edge 3D technology. 'The Way of Water' came in 2022, where the life of the Na'vi people, family and the conflict between humans and nature are portrayed more emotionally. The discussion around the third installment 'Fire and Ash' is at its peak. The cutting-edge visuals, strong story and Cameron's vision are what made this movie so talked about.
