Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has lashed out, blaming the presence of Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, for the Republican Party's defeat in the US midterm elections and President Donald Trump's political setback.

Lula da Silva joked in a YouTube livestream that Flavio Bolsonaro was a "bad omen" or a "Kufa" person. He lost the election to Trump because he arrived in the United States.

It is worth noting that Flavio Bolsonaro lost the presidential election to Lula on October 25. After losing the election, he fled to the United States, alleging fraud. However, he is under investigation in Brazil for corruption, money laundering, and tax evasion.

Lula claims that he sought refuge in the United States to escape legal proceedings. However, even if he goes there for protection, he will eventually have to return to Brazil and face all the charges.

Meanwhile, political pressure on the Trump administration has increased as Democrats won both houses of Congress in the US midterm elections. Lula made these comments to attack his rival, capitalizing on that electoral blow.
