Good news for Bangladeshi students in France

Students, researchers and Bangladeshis in various professions have emphasized the importance of acquiring professional skills, learning the French language and engaging with the local society in addition to higher education in France. According to them, acquiring an academic degree alone is not enough to establish oneself in the European job market; language skills, professional communication and understanding of the real work environment are also important.
Recently, an orientation program was organized for new students of the 2026-27 academic year at a conference room in Paris by the Bangladesh Students Network France. Organized with the theme of 'Communication, Collaboration and Empowerment', the program was attended by new students studying at various universities in France, researchers and Bangladeshis involved in various professions.
The event discussed higher education opportunities in France, as well as accommodation, administrative processes, healthcare, banking, transportation, French language, job market, research and career development. Exchange and networking opportunities were also created to introduce new students to experienced students, researchers and professionals.
The event was hosted by Bangladesh Students Network France President Dr. Shamim Ahmed and General Secretary Mihsan Tamim. Entrepreneur, researcher and educationist Dr. Shamim Ahmed has completed his PhD from Paris-Saclay University. General Secretary Mihsan Tamim played an important role in coordinating and managing the event.
Tanjim Hossain, an entrepreneur and managing director of the tourism and travel sector in Paris, spoke as a guest at the event. He advised students to acquire proficiency in French and prepare for their professional life right from their studies.
Dr. Francois Mia, an engineer in the research and development sector of the aerospace industry, highlighted the potential of the European job market and technology-based careers. He advised students to increase their contact with industrial institutions, research organizations, and professionals in addition to their academic studies.
Dr. Abul Hasnat, who works in the field of artificial intelligence and technology, urged students to become more involved in mainstream French society. He suggested expanding their reach by joining local social activities, professional organizations, and various networks.
Higher education and research were also discussed at the event. Abdullah Al Masum, Treasurer of Bangladesh Students Network France, who is a PhD researcher at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, University of Paris-Saclay, shared his experience of higher education and research in France. He highlighted the importance of international communication and building academic networks in addition to research.
The organization's brand executive Zakaria Bhuiyan and communications executive Mohammad Rakibul Hasan also served as organizers.
Dr. Shamim Ahmed, President of Bangladesh Students Network France, said, "One of the goals of such an event is to create mutual communication among new students and create an effective environment for cooperation when needed. If new students connect with experienced students, researchers and professionals, their educational and professional journey in France will be easier."
According to the organizers, Bangladeshi students coming to France for higher education need to focus on enhancing their language skills, social engagement, professional capabilities, and international communication in addition to academic success. Through mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences, students can build a stronger foundation for their education and career in France.
