Bamboo growing inside street lamp, locals shocked

Locals in Shenchang District, Zhejiang Province, China, were shocked by a strange incident. A bamboo plant grew inside a street lamp near the World Trade Plaza there, which eventually covered the top of the light.

According to eyewitnesses, the thin bamboo stem entered through a small hole at the bottom of the lamppost and started growing upwards. It gradually emerged through the entire street lamp.
