Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to donate $1 billion to the Gaza 'Peace Board' formed by US President Donald Trump to rebuild the war-torn Gaza Strip in Palestine. He has also made a proposal to President Trump on this issue.

In that proposal, the Russian President said that $1 billion from the Russian money that was frozen in various US banks during the administration of Donald Trump's predecessor, President Joe Biden, should be donated to the Gaza Peace Board.

President Trump has already invited President Putin to be a member of the Gaza Peace Board. Regarding Trump's invitation at the Russian Security Council meeting, the Russian President said that Moscow has not yet made a decision on this matter.

At the meeting, Putin said, "I thank President Trump for inviting me to the Gaza Peace Board. Russia has not yet made a decision on this matter. Moscow will be able to make a decision on this only after reviewing the invitation and discussing it with strategic allies. That requires more time.’

He said, ‘However, our relationship with the Palestinian people has always been special. We want to provide $1 billion in aid for the reconstruction of Gaza, and our proposal is that this money be taken from Russian funds frozen in various US banks by the previous Biden administration. We also want this step to be taken before Moscow decides to join the Gaza ‘Peace Board.’

The 20-point peace plan that President Trump proposed on September 29 to permanently end the Hamas-Israeli war in Gaza, mentioned the formation of a technocratic government in Gaza and a Gaza ‘Peace Board.’

In this context, Trump’s peace plan said that an apolitical technocratic government would be formed to administer the post-war Gaza and that this government would be run under the guidance of the Gaza ‘Peace Board.’ The plan also stated that various countries, including the United States, would become members of the Gaza Peace Board, and that in addition to providing guidance to the technocratic government, the Gaza Peace Board would also oversee the raising and spending of funds for the reconstruction of Gaza.

Trump has invited various countries to join the Gaza Peace Board, and several other countries, including Pakistan, Hungary, Morocco, Kazakhstan, and Argentina, have already responded positively to the invitation.
