Russian forces have launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine's military-industrial and energy facilities. At least 1,355 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in this attack. This information was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday (July 13), the Tass news agency reported.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the attack was carried out in response to the attack on Russian civilian facilities. The statement said that the attack was carried out using precision weapons that can be launched from land and sea, 'Kinzhal' hypersonic ballistic missiles that can be launched from the air, and long-range drones. The ministry claims that all designated targets have been successfully hit and the objectives of the operation have been achieved.
According to the latest information provided by Russia, the Ukrainian armed forces have lost about 1,355 soldiers on various frontlines in the last 24 hours. It is claimed that about 200 soldiers and one armored vehicle were destroyed in the area under the responsibility of Battlegroup North, more than 220 soldiers, two tanks and three armored vehicles in the area of Battlegroup West, and about 190 soldiers and one armored vehicle in the area of Battlegroup South.
In addition, over the past day, more than 480 soldiers, three tanks and four armored vehicles were destroyed in the area of Battlegroup Center, about 230 soldiers and four armored vehicles in the area of Battlegroup East, and about 35 soldiers and four logistics warehouses in the area of Battlegroup Dnepr.
TASS says that Russia's Battlegroup Center continues its operations against besieged Ukrainian troops in the Dmitrov area of the Donetsk People's Republic. According to the Defense Ministry, the encircled Ukrainian units in the Vostochny and Zapadny areas of Dmitrov were destroyed, and search operations were carried out in the Svetloye and Grishino settlements. Moscow claims that 11 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and one was taken prisoner of war when they tried to break out of the encirclement near Svetloye.
The statement also said that Russian forces thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian forces to advance towards Krasnoyarsk in the same area. An attempt to attack from the Shevchenko area with tanks on motorcycles was repelled by Russian forces. More than 60 Ukrainian soldiers, three tanks and about 20 motorcycles were destroyed in this.
The Tass report said that in the past 24 hours, attacks have targeted port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army, ammunition depots and temporary positions of troops and foreign mercenaries. A total of 142 locations were hit using operational and tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces, and artillery.
