Former US Vice President Kamala Harris may run for president again. In an interview with the British media outlet BBC on Saturday (October 25), she said, "I'm not finished yet." The former vice president also hopes that she or a woman will one day become US president. BBC News
Harris's comments are being seen as an indication of her possible candidacy in the 2028 election. Many in the Democratic Party consider her an outsider, but Harris has ignored that.
Calling current President Donald Trump a "tyrant," Kamala said, "What I said about Trump before the election is now being proven."
Former President Joe Biden was supposed to run against Trump last year. However, he had to withdraw at the last minute due to pressure from the party. Kamala was then made the rival. Many in the Democratic Party believe that their candidate could not win the presidency because Biden delayed withdrawing from the election.
However, questions have also been raised about whether Kamala Harris could have run a very good election campaign and given voters a clear idea of the number one issue, the economy.
When asked about running again in the next election, Kamala told the BBC, "I haven't made a final decision on it yet. But my future in politics is not over yet. I'm not finished. I've served people my whole life. It's in my bones."
Claiming that what she said about Trump was true, Kamala said, "Trump said he would weaponize the judiciary. He did exactly that."
