After Taiwan, ’Ragasa’ hits China

The strongest storm of the year, 'Ragasa', has hit the southern coast of China. Due to its impact, hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated from the coast. In addition, authorities have ordered the closure of educational and business institutions in at least 10 cities.

Reports say that Typhoon Ragasa will hit Guangdong province on Wednesday. 370,000 people in the region have been evacuated. Authorities have expressed fears of a catastrophic situation in Guangdong due to the impact of Ragasa.

In addition, Hong Kong has issued an eight-level warning before Typhoon Ragasa hits. It has been reported that air traffic in the region may be disrupted.

The China Meteorological Administration has called Typhoon Ragasa the king of storms. It says that Ragasa will hit the northern part of Vietnam after China. Hundreds of thousands of people may be affected.

Earlier, 14 people have been killed in Taiwan so far due to the impact of Super Typhoon Ragasa. In addition, at least 14 more people were injured and at least 124 are still missing.
