US F-35 fighter jet lands on Indian soil, what’s behind it?

Six US F-35 fighter jets have landed on Indian soil. They are accompanied by over 200 US military personnel. These modern US fighter jets have arrived in India for the first time to participate in a massive air exercise called 'Tarang Shakti' that has begun in Jodhpur, India.

US Ambassador Sergio Gore expressed his excitement over the news. He wrote on social media, "These state-of-the-art US fighter jets will now fly in the same skies with the Indian Air Force, which is truly a great thing."

Apart from the United States, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Australia, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates are participating in this international exercise, which will continue till October 12 at the Jodhpur air base. On the other hand, India is also participating in this exercise with powerful fighter jets like Rafale, Tejas and MiG-29 to show its strength.
