Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has made sensational allegations against the current Trump administration. She claimed that the White House is trying to cover up documents related to notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She made this claim in an interview with the BBC at the annual World Forum held in Berlin.
Hillary directly alleged that the Justice Department is deliberately delaying the release of the files. She demanded that all the documents be made public as soon as possible and said that maintaining transparency is the biggest need now.
On the other hand, the White House has strongly denied the allegations. They have countered by claiming that the Trump administration has done more for the victims than the Democrats by releasing the Epstein files. Amid this controversy, the Congressional Oversight Committee has summoned the Clintons in connection with Epstein.
Hillary and Bill Clinton have agreed to appear before the committee on February 26 and February 27. Bill Clinton is the first former president since Gerald Ford in 1983 to face a congressional panel.
Hillary also spoke about the involvement of British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor with Jeffrey Epstein. When asked whether Andrew should testify, she made it clear that anyone who is called should testify. Although Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing. Hillary Clinton claims that although her husband Bill Clinton knew Epstein, they cut off contact two decades ago and she has never met Epstein.
Hillary also alleged that the Trump administration is using her and Bill Clinton to essentially divert public attention from Donald Trump. It is worth noting that Trump's name appears hundreds of times in the Epstein file, although Trump has also denied any wrongdoing and claimed that he has been cleared of all charges.
Hillary Clinton has called for the hearing to be held in public instead of behind closed doors so that people can know the truth.
