The US as a nation and a country has not yet reached the maturity level to elect a woman as president. This has been claimed by the country's former First Lady Michelle Obama. In her words, Americans are still 'not (psychologically) ready to see a woman in the Oval Office.' As an example, she mentioned the defeat of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris against Trump in the last election.

Recently, at an event, Michelle Obama was asked whether there is enough space or acceptance for a female president in the United States? In response, the former First Lady said, 'We saw (negative) examples of this in the last election. Sadly, we are not ready.'

Michelle Obama also said, 'Never think that I will contest the election. Because, you are lying. We have to be more mature for female leadership. Many men still do not think that they can accept female leadership.

Last Friday, a book promotion event for Michelle Obama called 'The Look' was organized in Brooklyn, New York. There, American actress Alice Ross asked Michelle about women's top leadership.

Anadolu reports that Michelle Obama is quite popular with many Democratic supporters. They have long expected to see Michelle as a presidential candidate. However, the former First Lady has always denied it. Even while she was First Lady in 2016, she said that she would never run for the US presidential election.

Barack Obama participated in Kamala Harris's campaign in the last election. There, he called on her not to vote for Donald Trump. Kamala Harris gave an interview to the BBC last month. There, she said that she has not lost her grip on politics yet. She is considering running for the US presidency again. The next US presidential election is scheduled for 2028.
