Feni District Association Holds Day-Long Picnic in New York

The Feni District Association Inc. held a day-long picnic on Sunday, August 23, at Sunken Meadow State Park in New York, bringing together Feni expatriates and their families in a festive and joyful atmosphere.

Members of the Bangladesh Society, leaders of various community and cultural organizations, and journalist Awal Chowdhury also attended the event.

The park was lively from the morning as participants enjoyed social gatherings, games, cultural activities, and various forms of entertainment. The enthusiastic participation of women, men, and children turned the event into a vibrant gathering of the Feni community.

The picnic was organized under the leadership of Feni District Association Inc. President Rafiqul Islam Patwari, General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Manik, Convener Nasir Uddin, and Chief Coordinator Mehedi Saimun.

Member Secretary Tamjid Abdullah and Joint Conveners Kamal Commissioner, Shamim Mahmud, Jahangir Alam Ratan, Ashraful Karim, Momin Patwari, Anwar Hossain, and Faisal played important roles in organizing the event. Coordinators Dipu Sarwar, Amir Hossain, and Rony Habibul, along with Nur Mohammad, also provided support in making the event successful.

Organizers said the event was aimed at strengthening communication, friendship, unity, and fraternity among Feni expatriates in the diaspora. It also provided an opportunity for community members to step away from their busy lives in New York and spend quality time with family, friends, and fellow Feni residents in a beautiful natural setting.

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the day-long gathering, describing it as a memorable opportunity for recreation, social interaction, and reconnecting with one another. The picnic concluded in a warm and festive atmosphere filled with laughter, friendship, and community spirit.
