Donald Petrie's romantic comedy 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', released in 2003, was a huge hit with the audience. In addition to its box office success, the film has become one of Hollywood's favorite romantic films over time. The on-screen chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson in particular impressed the audience.
After a long 23 years, an initiative has been taken to make a sequel to the popular film. The project has already begun under the production of Paramount Pictures. Kate Hudson will be in charge of producing the new film in addition to acting.
However, it is not yet certain whether Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson will be seen together again in the sequel. However, the makers are keen to bring back the old pair. Currently, a screenwriter is being sought for the new story. The decision on the actors will be made only after the script is finalized.
There is a strong trend in Hollywood these days of making sequels to old popular movies. The recent success of the sequel to 'The Devil Wears Prada' has also increased the interest in bringing back old franchises.
In this series, the second installment of the much-awaited 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' is also on its way to the audience.
