Kanakchapa’s emotional message about Prime Minister Tarique Rahman

Popular singer Kanakchapa has given an emotional status to Tarique Rahman, who was sworn in as the country's 11th Prime Minister, wishing him well.

In the status, Kanakchapa wrote, Allah has honored you and us. The whole world witnessed that historic moment Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. May Allah keep our Bangladesh safe, joyful, happy, and prosperous through you. Amen.

In the 13th National Parliament election held on February 12, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) won more than two-thirds of the seats and achieved an absolute majority. After the election, the party's chairman Tarique Rahman took charge as the Prime Minister after the constitutional process.

President Md. Shahabuddin administered the oath of office to the new Prime Minister at the swearing-in ceremony held at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building on Tuesday (February 17) afternoon.
