The fog surrounding the death of popular Assamese music artist and actor Zubin Garg is still not clearing. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has started an investigation to find out the exact reason behind the death of the Assamese icon. On Thursday (September 25), a person was arrested for the first time in the case.

According to media reports, the drummer of the singer's team, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, has been arrested after questioning in the investigation into Zubin Garg's death case. At the same time, the SIT searched the house of team manager Siddharth Sharma.

It is learned that the drummer of the singer's team, Shekhar Jyoti, was detained from Garigaon in Guwahati for questioning on Thursday morning. Later, it was said that he was arrested after questioning. The allegation against him is that singer Zubin went into the sea on his advice.

In addition, officials searched the houses of manager Siddharth Sharma and North-East Festival promoter Shyamkanu Mohanty in Datalpara, Guwahati. At that time, a large crowd gathered in front of the manager's house. The singer's fans and well-wishers are blaming drummer Siddharth Sharma for his death. Everyone started protesting outside his house and also demanded his arrest.

Earlier, on September 19, Zubin Garg died mysteriously while attending the North-East Festival in Singapore. Various reports said that he died while swimming. Later, the state government formed a special investigation team in the incident. And Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assured that the investigation will be completed within 15 days. If necessary, a CBI investigation will also be conducted.

Incidentally, Zubin Garg was a musician, music director, composer, lyricist, music producer, actor and film director. He won the gold medal in the Western solo performance at the Youth Festival held in 1992. After that, his life changed. After the release of the Assamese album 'Anamika' in 1992, Jabin started his professional music career. In addition, in 2006, the singer gained immense popularity by singing the song 'Ya Ali' in the movie 'Gangster'.
