2013. Bollywood director Abhinav Kashyap's movie 'Besharam' was released. Actor Ranbir Kapoor played the central role in this movie. At that time, the actor was in a relationship with Katrina Kaif. Ranbir had proposed to take her in the movie 'Besharam'. Abhinav Kashyap said this in a recent interview.

The director was looking for a heroine for the movie 'Besharam', who would easily seem like a Punjabi from Delhi. But Katrina's style of speaking was not like that at all. As a result, Abhinav Kashyap did not want to take the actress in this movie.

The director said that Ranbir Kapoor requested to make a movie with Kat. But he rejected that proposal. Abhinav said that at that time many actresses came to audition for the role of the heroine in this movie. Among them were actresses like Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Parineeti Chopra.

He said, Katrina is a very good person. Being a talented actress, there was no problem with her. Katrina herself wanted to do the film. However, Katrina was not taken in the central role. Even Pallavi Saradha was chosen instead of Taapsee and Parineeti.

Why did he do that? In response, the director said, Katrina once came to meet me. I was recording a song in Yash Raj. At that time, Katrina came and directly asked - is there any enmity with me?

Abhinav Kashyap said, I said - there is no such thing. I told her - the day I have such a script, where a foreign character is needed, I will contact her first.

He said, he wanted to take Sonakshi Sinha in this film. But Ranbir did not want to work with her. Not only Ranbir but even Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor liked Pallavi's audition. However, despite being selected on the basis of talent, Pallavi Sarada could not cement her place in Bollywood.
