Queens man fatally stabbed steps from his Laurelton home

LAURELTON, Queens (WABC) -- A 33-year-old man was fatally stabbed outside his Queens home Sunday night.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault around 9:45 p.m. in front of 220-20 Merrick Blvd. in Laurelton, according to the NYPD.

When officers arrived, they found Jose Scott, 33, with multiple stab wounds to his body. EMS transported Scott to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Scott lived at 220-26 Merrick Blvd., just steps from where investigators found him wounded.No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
