Approximately 175,000 tons of wheat, purchased from the United States, have arrived at the port of Chittagong. This shipment is part of a total of 220,000 tons of wheat procured by Bangladesh.

This information was shared in a Facebook post by the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka on Wednesday (October 21).

The embassy stated in the post that nutrient-rich U.S. wheat has arrived in Bangladesh. Out of the 220,000 tons recently purchased by Bangladesh, approximately 175,000 tons of high-quality wheat have already reached Chittagong.

The embassy further noted that this U.S. wheat contributes to ensuring food security in Bangladesh while also strengthening the commercial partnership between the United States and Bangladesh.
