Tarique Rahman will follow the path Sheikh Hasina has taken: Mamunul Haque

Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Amir Maulana Mamunul Haque said that the youth of this country have lost their lives due to the failure of the BNP leadership for 15 years. People gave their lives, gave their blood in the 2013 Shapla Chattar, in the movement surrounding Allama Sayedee and in the 2024 anti-discrimination movement. After crossing that sea of blood, the people of Bengal snatched the sun of new independence on August 5. If they play tricks with the vote of 70 percent of the country's people with farmer cards and family cards, Tarique Rahman will also follow the path Sheikh Hasina has taken.
He said this while addressing the chief guest at a rally organized by the 11-party unity Mymensingh Division at the Railway Krishnachura Chattar in Mymensingh city on Saturday afternoon to demand the implementation of the referendum verdict.
The rally was chaired by Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member and Mymensingh Regional Director Principal Md. Shahabuddin and the chief guest was Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Amir Muhammad Mamunul Haque.
Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and Jatiya Nagorik Party NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan were special guests. Acting Amir of Nezam-e-Islam Party Maulana Abdul Qayyum Sobhani, Chairman of Bangladesh Labor Party Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran and local and other leaders of 11 parties also spoke.
The chief guest also said that the will of 70 percent of the people has been reflected in the referendum. We demand that this verdict be implemented peacefully. If the current government fails to do that, then we will take to the streets, achieve the rights of the people and return home. We will not hesitate to adopt any difficult path to achieve the rights of the people of Bengal.
Regarding the July Charter, Mamunul Haque alleged that the reform proposal that the political parties had agreed on after long discussions through the National Consensus Commission, was ruined by BNP compromising with some people in the interim government.
At the rally, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said that BNP along with the interim government has defeated us by engineering elections. Otherwise, we would have gone to parliament with 180 seats. We have accepted the election results to stabilize the country's politics and build a new Bangladesh by eliminating political conflict, corruption and inequality. If the referendum verdict is not implemented today, a united movement will continue on the streets.
He said that the people directly voted 'yes' in the referendum. People voted for BNP because they made promises in the bloody July Charter, and Jamaat also voted for 11 parties. Your MPs took the votes given by the people and took a stand against the July Charter when they came to power, which is why the people did not vote for you.
Bangladesh Nagorik Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said that BNP is repeatedly failing to govern the country. They have not taken any effective steps regarding the genocide. They have increased the prices of daily necessities including oil and electricity.
He said that the Prime Minister has not been able to tell the people of the country what he has brought for the country after visiting China and Malaysia recently.
