Good news for government employees before Puja. Currently, the LTC (Leave Travel Concession) was supposed to expire on October 31, 2025. That period has been extended to October 31, 2026. Similarly, the fixed period has been extended by one year for HTC (Home Travel Concession). The HTC period ends on October 31, 2026. The state finance department issued a notification on Thursday stating this. As a result, government employees who could not avail this benefit in the last three years will be able to avail it within the next one year.

Government employees get this benefit once every three years. This one-year extra time is being given only once. It will not have any impact on future vacations. Even though the old leave period has been extended, government employees will be able to apply for new leave from November 1 of this year as per the rules.

A section of government employees feel that this decision of the state government will benefit many employees. It has been informed by Navanna that many state government employees cannot take leave at the scheduled time due to personal reasons. They will be able to take that leave to go on a trip within the next one year.
