Trump now claims to occupy the moon, portrays himself as a superhero

In the same series of posts, Trump also claimed the Strait of Hormuz as US territory. Last week, amid tensions with Iran, he proposed renaming the strait "Trump Strait." Hours later, he indicated he wasn't serious about the idea.

Trump then proposed renaming the state of New Mexico "New America." The White House also supported the proposal, republishing a photo in which the word "Mexico" was crossed out and replaced with "America."

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham responded to Trump's proposal on Fox News, saying the state's name is not up for debate — it's been ours since before the founding of the United States.

He claims that Trump is making such proposals to divert Americans' attention from issues like rising fuel prices.

Trump's move to rename New Mexico comes days after he signed a bill renaming Lake Ontario to "Lake America" ​​amid a trade dispute with Canada. He made the announcement from the Oval Office on August 27.

Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes on the Canada-United States border. It shares its name with the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. Toronto is located on the northwestern shore of the lake.

Huron-Wendat First Nation Grand Chief Pierre Picard criticized the move, calling it "disgusting and unspeakable" and accusing Trump of trying to "erase our history." Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also opposed the decision. 

Earlier, on his first day back in the White House in 2025, Trump announced that he would rename the Gulf of Mexico to the 'Gulf of America.' Mexico rejected the decision. Canada also rejected the initiative to rename Lake Ontario.

Separately, the White House released an AI-generated video of Trump as the Green Lantern. It was accompanied by two images. In one image, Trump is seen looking directly at the camera, holding a glowing green energy ring-like object in one hand.
