US President Donald Trump may decide to launch another major attack on Iran after his attempt to reopen the Strait of Hormuz failed. However, international media outlets are saying that he is desperately looking for a way out of the conflict.

But Trump is trying to find a solution that would claim 'victory' rather than admit defeat. Mostafa Khoshchesham, a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Tehran, told Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera that Trump may launch the attack because he does not want to take the blame for the defeat.

Khoshchesham said that no matter what the situation is in reality, Trump will never present himself as a loser. Rather, he is looking for a way to get out of the conflict and show it as his victory.

He claims that the ships currently sailing through the Strait of Hormuz are using Iran's designated corridor. According to him, this situation proves that Trump's efforts on the Hormuz issue have failed for a long time.

Meanwhile, the Iranian professor also sees the order to operate US embassies in the Middle East at minimum capacity as an important signal. He believes that Washington may be preparing to launch a major military attack against Iran in the coming weeks or months.

However, Khoshchesham's statement should be seen as an expert assessment. This is not an official announcement of a major attack by the Trump administration. Previously, Trump has publicly stated his tough stance on Iran's nuclear and military installations.
