US halts Iran strike

The New York Times reported, citing Trump administration officials, that if the war intensifies after 13 days of continuous attacks, the US Patriot missile defense system and other air defense weapons deployed in the Middle East could be dangerously depleted. The US is seeking to halt the strikes out of concern.

The report said that Trump decided to halt the strikes after a meeting with his top advisers and senior cabinet members on Friday.

On the other hand, Axios reported, citing two sources who did not wish to be named, that it is not yet clear whether this decision is only a temporary pause or a long-term suspension of attacks. However, the US is not attacking Iran for now.

According to the Axios report, Trump's decision indicates that on the one hand, it creates more opportunities for diplomatic efforts. On the other hand, the US is considered a success until major military operations resume.

However, sources claim that the US military is already preparing alternative plans to resume major military operations if necessary.
