US President Donald Trump is seriously considering launching a new attack on Iran. He claims that if this operation takes place, it could be bigger than ‘Operation Epic Fury’.

Trump said this in an interview with the media Axios on Thursday (July 23) local time.

He said, ‘No final decision has been made yet. But there are preparations for a big attack.’

He said, ‘I am considering a big attack. It could be bigger than any time before. We are very close to making a decision. All kinds of preparations are complete.’

However, two US officials told Axios that no final decision has been made yet and no new military orders have been issued. Trump also did not give a specific timeframe for a decision.

Trump claims that Iran is interested in talks but is not yet ready to reach an agreement.

“They didn’t pay enough,” he said.

Two regional sources involved in the mediation effort said the latest offer made to the Iranian leadership had not yet been accepted. “We’re trying, but Iran is not cooperating,” one source said.

The US president said Israel would join a new military operation “in a moment,” if the US wanted it.

“Israel would join in two minutes if I told it,” he said.

But he also claimed that the US did not need Israeli help to carry out the operation. He acknowledged, however, that Israeli participation could increase the risk of Iranian retaliation.
