Russia warns US

Moscow has warned Washington not to provide weapons to Ukraine in the ongoing war.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned about the issue during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Manila, Philippines, on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The statement also said that Lavrov mentioned in the meeting that the continuation of arms supplies to Kiev was “unacceptable”.

The Russian Foreign Minister also said in the meeting that Russia is ready to reach a “political and diplomatic solution” to end the war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, a statement has also been released by the US State Department about the meeting. It said that Rubio and Sergey Lavrov discussed “the need to advance US-Russian relations and end the Russia-Ukraine war.”
