US President Donald Trump has threatened that Iran will not exist if war breaks out again. The US president made this threat in a post on his social media Truth Social on Saturday (June 27). Khabar Al Arabiya
In the post, Trump alleged that Iran has violated the ceasefire agreement.
He wrote, "In yet another breach of the ceasefire agreement, US aircraft have attacked Iranian missile and drone warehouses and coastal radar installations."
Trump also said, "There may come a time when we will no longer be able to show restraint. At that time, we will be forced to end the military operation that we have successfully begun. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist."
Earlier, the US carried out airstrikes on Iran for the second consecutive day. Washington claimed that the operation was carried out in response to an attack on a commercial vessel.
In a statement, the US Central Command (Centcom), which oversees US military operations in the Middle East, said the attack was carried out on the orders of the president.
CENTCOM said, “US forces carried out strikes today in response to Iran’s continued aggression against commercial shipping.”
They claimed that the attacks targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense installations, drone storage and mine-laying capabilities at sea.
On the other hand, in response to the US attacks, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that it had launched missile and drone attacks on US military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait.
