Israel’s image in the world is at rock bottom

Israel's image and diplomatic position in the international arena are becoming more fragile day by day. A recent large global survey conducted by the Pew Research Center showed that people in most countries of the world view Israel with an extremely negative view. The vast majority of people in the 36 countries surveyed expressed their strong dissatisfaction and hostile attitude towards the country.
The results of this survey, conducted from February 8 to May 13, showed that on average, about 67 percent of adults in the participating countries have an unfavorable or hostile attitude towards Israel. In contrast, only 25 percent of people gave a positive opinion in favor of the country.
According to the Pew Research Center, most of the interviews in the survey were conducted after the war between Iran and Israel began on February 28, which created severe economic crisis and instability around the world. Along with the ongoing military operation in the Gaza Strip, this new war against Iran has completely destroyed Israel's international image.
Anger against Israel was most visible in countries with a predominantly Muslim population, both geographically and religiously. This extreme dissatisfaction was also evident among residents of the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as countries such as Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey. However, due to adverse conditions, it was not possible to conduct a survey in the war-torn Gaza Strip, the organization said.
Anti-Israel sentiment has intensified not only in the Muslim world, but also in European countries. Almost two-thirds or more of adults in influential European countries such as Italy, the Netherlands and Spain expressed a very negative attitude towards Israel.
The country's image was already at its lowest point due to the atrocities committed by Israeli forces in Gaza, but the situation has become even more deplorable since the start of the war with Iran. Of the 24 countries for which comparable data was available, at least 13 countries have seen their anger against Israel increase many times over last year. For example, in Argentina, 46 percent of people still had an unfavorable view of Israel in 2025, which has risen sharply to 55 percent this year.
In addition, countries such as Australia, Italy, Nigeria, Poland and the United Kingdom have also seen double-digit increases in the number of people expressing strong dissatisfaction with Israel, which once again highlights Israel's extreme loneliness and isolation on the world stage.
