Trump lifts sanctions on Iran’s oil, what Iran says

US President Donald Trump has said that the United States is considering ending the ongoing war in the Middle East. The Trump administration has lifted the ban on importing 140 million barrels of oil from Iran to reduce the price of fuel oil in the international market.
US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz supported the move in an interview with CNN, saying that it is a 'temporary measure'.
However, Iran does not believe Trump's assurances to stop the war at all. A senior official in Tehran told CNN that they do not attach importance to Trump's claim. The main reason behind this is that while Trump has said that he will stop the war, other US officials have said that preparations are underway to send thousands of additional US troops to the region.
Three weeks after the war, Trump's contradictory statements and steps to reduce volatility in the oil market are now being discussed around the world.
