A recent Quinnipiac University poll has provided a detailed picture of American public opinion on the ongoing Iran-US war and its associated effects. The poll, released last week, found clear divisions and concerns among the general American electorate regarding an attack on Iran.

An analysis of the survey data shows that currently 53 percent of American voters oppose military action against Iran. On the contrary, 40 percent of voters support such an attack. However, the Americans' position is very strict on the issue of sending US ground forces to Iranian soil.

Almost three-quarters of the survey participants are strongly opposed to deploying US troops in Iran. They believe that direct involvement in a ground war would not be good for the United States.

There is also deep concern among American citizens about the far-reaching consequences of this potential conflict. More than three-quarters of those surveyed fear that a war with Iran could increase the risk of terrorist attacks within the United States itself. This fear of internal security is playing a major role in keeping American public opinion against war.

Meanwhile, American voters have mixed reactions to Israel, one of the United States' main allies in the Middle East. According to the survey, 44 percent of voters believe that the United States is supporting Israel more than it needs to.

Interestingly, the same number of voters, another 44 percent, believe that the current level of support for Israel is just right and balanced. This balance of public opinion indicates that American society is now evenly divided on the issue of Israel.
