Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf has said that he will not be able to control how it ends if it starts.

In an interview with CNN late on Wednesday (January 28), he said that Iran is ready to sit for talks. However, he added a condition. Ghalibaf said that Tehran will not go to any talks imposed by force.

Ghalibaf told CNN that we are ready for talks. But we do not think that the kind of dialogue the US president wants is a real discussion.

He alleged that Washington is weakening diplomacy through the use of force. Just two days before the sixth round of talks with Iran, the US dropped a bomb on the negotiation table. Ghalibaf made it clear that there will be no talks until the economic rights of the Iranian people are ensured. We do not consider the directive to be a discussion.

He believes that talks conducted under military pressure will further increase tensions. Ghalibaf said talks conducted under the shadow of war only increase tensions. If Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize, he should distance himself from the warmongers and surrender advocates around him.

Ghalibaf's comments come at a time when Trump claims a "massive fleet" is heading towards Iran. Trump has warned that "time is running out" and urged Tehran to come to the negotiating table.
