This year's holy month of Ramadan may start from February 18-19 and continue until mid-March. Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated on March 20. However, all this depends on the sighting of the moon.
According to the predictions of astronomers, Ramadan in 2026 will be a fairly comfortable period in most countries in the Middle East, because Ramadan falls between winter and spring - the duration of daylight will be relatively short.
The size of the fasting period in Middle Eastern countries: In Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, fasting may be about 12 hours and 40 minutes at the beginning, and by the end of Ramadan it will gradually reach about 13 hours.
Experts say that the fasting period will increase by about 1-2 minutes every day from the beginning to the end of Ramadan, as a result, the days will be longer towards the end of the month.
There may be slight differences from country to country due to differences in geographical location and latitude, but in the Gulf region of the Middle East, fasting is expected to last between 12 and 13 hours - which is considered a very tolerable time compared to the long, hot fasts of the past few years.
