Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland has made a change to the lettering of his name on the national team jersey. On Norway’s kit, it will no longer read just “Haaland” — instead, it will now display his full surname: “Braut Haaland.”
Norway will face Finland in a friendly on Thursday, September 4. Then, on September 9, they will meet Moldova in a World Cup qualifier. In this qualifying campaign, Norway is placed in Group “I” alongside Italy, Israel, Estonia, and Moldova.
Haaland’s record with the national team is impressive: he has scored 42 goals in 43 matches. However, he has yet to feature in a major international tournament. Determined to take Norway to the World Cup, Haaland remains the nation’s biggest hope. The entire country waits for a place on the world stage — led by none other than Braut Haaland.
Meanwhile, Haaland has also made a flying start to the ongoing Premier League season, netting a brace against Wolves on opening day.
