ATLANTA, Aug. 22 — Social media star and former collegiate golfer Paige Spiranac is stepping inside the ropes this week at East Lake Golf Club, covering the 2025 Tour Championship with PGA Tour Live.
Spiranac, who has 6.7 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, and X, played college golf at Arizona and San Diego State, earning All-Mountain West honors in 2013 and 2014. She also led the Aztecs to a conference championship before briefly competing on the Cactus Tour and in LPGA qualifiers.
After months of fans urging the PGA Tour to collaborate with her, Spiranac announced on Thursday: “I’ll be on the course today with PGA Tour Live! Make sure to tune in.”
Her followers quickly reacted with excitement. “Golf just got a lot more watchable,” one fan wrote, while another called her the “coolest reporter out there.”
Though she has yet to establish herself as a full-time broadcaster, Spiranac’s knowledge of the game and massive fan base have many wondering if she could carve out a lasting role in PGA Tour media.
“I love golf so much, but sometimes, I just can’t break through. It eats at me, and I know so many others can relate,” Spiranac said recently about the game’s mental challenges.
For now, fans will be watching closely as she makes her PGA Tour Live debut at one of golf’s biggest stages.
